ABOUT HYDRO TRAIN

The story behind the set up of Hydro Train was developed from by a very inspiring story by Alistair Brownlee, demonstrating how it was possible to cure an achilles tendon injury as a result of training on a water treadmill within 6 weeks. We then realised that if this worked for an elite athlete this could work for general members of the public.

To back up this case study we encourage our clients to watch the video below, to capture the moment and experience of what this type of training can provide.

As a result of this we are now working with local sports therapists to develop a injury rehabilitation model, that will give the client end to end access through a mobile application interface to the water facilities to give better treatments to they're clients.

With water training in mind, we have carried out a large amount of research to look at other markets. The research showed a large number of classes that were taking place around the world but weren't taking place in our local areas.

An example of this was the Aqua Cycling classes, very popular in the United States Of America, but only available at small number of locations in this country. Our thinking behind this has been, if we have a high participaction rate in water spin classes, surely offering a more injury free with a high calorie burn environment can have a place in the market.

Our group injury rehabilitation sessions are available to help clients with their specific injuries. The service will be run with a different body part on each day of the week, the system will work on a demand basis ie. if we have a lot of clients with knee injuries and very few neck injuries. The knee injury class may take its place.
